Brian Ranes is a classically-trained violinist with 15 years of
orchestral, chamber, and solo experience. His studies included intensive
training at the School for Creative and Performing Arts and Miami
University in Cincinnati, Ohio, as well as at the Mannes College the New
School for Music (Extension Division) in New York City. Currently,
Brian studies chamber and solo performance with members of the Alaria
Chamber Ensemble in New York City and frequently performs with a chamber
group he helped found, the Havel String Quartet in addition to performing with Jaclyn Duncan Music.
Outside of music, Brian keeps busy with his other passions which include biology, sports, and private aviation.
